And Happy 5 Months to Charlie!!! Well, actually, 5 months and 3 day (I'm a little behind on my blogging). Charlie is doing fantastic:)
Since the last post, Charlie is starting to smile more, swat at some of his toys, continue to work on his baby push-ups and there has been an unassisted roll from from to back! I think I've also trained him to put his arms around me when I hold him - Chuck gets very jealous of this;) He is just under 8 pounds and very long. We haven't measured in a while:)
We completed our 4 months shots so our only medical follow-ups now are our NICU follow-up and our monthly infant check-ups. At the NICU follow-up we will go back to the Children's Hospital and meet with a physical therapist, speech therapist and dietician. They will see where Charlie is developmentally and then intervene if necessary. I'm sure I'll be a wreck leading up to this appointment - so consider yourselves warned:)
Since the last post I've also started back at work. The first week went ok, but I think the following weeks may be a bit harder. I have an amazing support system at work and now am the proud owner of a mini fridge in my cube. I'm able to keep my beer chilled while at work - and my "motherly supplies" as well;) Our pediatrician recommended not starting Charlie in his in-home daycare until after the cold and flu season. Grandma Wendi very eagerly volunteered to help us out. She is such a blessing to be here with Charlie during the day and take care of Chuck and I. In return we have given her room & board and season 1 of Homeland! We are all so very lucky to have her.
Below are our photo updates from the last month. As always, Chuck thinks I take post way too many photos, but who can resist a cute baby:)
The Frint's came by for a visit too! Charlie thinks he has a chance with Angelica. Don't tell Mr. Frint.

Baby Chicken
I thought he was just a cute baby in a bow tie. My Mom thought he looked like a Chippendale. Obviously someone's mind is in the gutter.

Sorry Charlie!
He kind of looks like a prohibition bartender. Whatever works:)
