Charlie was very excited to have his Aunt Abby come visit all the way from Atlanta!
He was so excited that his heart murmur softened (the medicine that he had been given was working!) and the results from one of his brain scans came back normal. We were all extremely thrilled with the good news we received:)
Charlie still needs to work on his feedings. Most preterm babies do not have fully developed belly's - so they literally do not know what to do. So far, most of his nutrients and fluids are coming from IV's and he is getting a very small feeding of breast milk. He has had a heart time digesting the feedings from his breast milk, but we have been told this is very common for babies his age. We are hoping that this changes soon.
